Anmärkning: Allmän Malcolm Le Grice is one of the key figures of the British experimental film scene. Born in 1940, he initially worked as a painter before beginning to work with film and computers in the mid-1960s. As well as an artist in his own right Le Grice had a catalytic role in the development of artists' film in Britain by introducing a film course for painters at St. Martin's School of Art in the 1960s, as a founder member of the London Filmmaker's Co-op and a contributor to critical and theoretical debates through his own writing. During the 1970s his work was central to the structuralist/materialist film movement but has transformed and renewed itself many times since, most recently engaging with new digital technologies. Le Grice is currently a professor at the University of Arts London and his most recent publication is Experimental Cinema in the Digital Age (2001, BFI). 1. Little dog for Roger (1967; 12 min.) -- 2. Berlin horse (1970; 9 min.) -- 3. Threshold (1972; 17 min.) -- 4. Whitchurch Down (Duration) (1972; 10 min.) -- 5. After Lumiere - L'Arroseur Arrosé (1974; 12 min.)
