  • 1. National alliance to prevent negative effects of WTO. The video is recorded at a protest campaign that coincided with the World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting in Hong Kong, December 2005. The campaign, against the negative effects of WTO politics in Sri Lanka, was recorded at Pettah (Colombo Fort) railway station in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  • 2.The Kotmale Project The main content of The Kotmale Project is archive material from the early 1980s, which was broadcast on Swedish Public Service Television. It also includes additional material recorded in Kotmale during 2004 and 2005. The video is an investigation into the Kotmale hydropower project, which was built in Sri Lanka by the Swedish construction company Skanska between 1979 and 1985. Since its early days the Kotmale Project received much criticism from different fractions in Sweden, partly concerning how it was established and who would benefit from it, as well as its interference with Sri Lankan politics. The project was the result of an agreement, at the end of the 1970s, between the Swedish and Sri Lankan governments and Skanska, who were awarded the contract without any competitive bidding. The Swedish Parliament was informed afterwards and Sweden's aid agency, SIDA, didn't get control of the project until the beginning of the 1980s. Ultimately, SIDA handed out grants totalling 250 million euro for the Kotmale Project.
