Published on the occasion of the exhibition EMIT: What the Bringback Brought by Trenton Doyle Hancock, organized by Curator, Modern and Contemporary Art of The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Matthew McLendon, PhD and designed by Mark Murphy.Exhibition took place April 17--September 13, 2015In this new body of work, Hancock explicitly merges the highly complex narrative mythology he has elaborated in previous bodies of work with his biography, specifically his childhood love of the sci-fi and horror movies of the 1970s and 1980s.This 72 page book features drawings, photographs, film stills, sculptural objects, paintings, costume design and painting.
