One glance at these powerful and unique illustrations confirms their superlative quality and international appeal. Following the global trend of fashion illustration, this book contains many fashion pieces but also features character, people, landscape, and various other illustration genres. All 1,000 works are previously unpublished and grouped by illustrator. Although these are commercial illustrations, the boundary between commercial illustration and art is vague these days. Erik Kessels explains in the foreward: "For a long time, there was a whole population of illustrators that worked only commercially and never did any autonomous work. Illustrators nowadays become artists and artists become illustrators. There are not a lot of borders anymore." You may find a future art sensation like Yoshitomo Nara or Takashi Murakami in this book.
