Why do women remain silent about the crime of sexual harassment? Because women often receive retaliation instead of help or justice. I was suspended 30 days without pay for going to the police seeking protection. My harasser retired from the military with honor. I felt isolated and alone - not knowing that I was part of a large group of women who were victims of sexual harassment and retaliation.The crimes against me took place in a National Guard Armory. I withheld names and locations because my story happens every day in every one of our fifty United States.
